Artist’s Statement:

“I am an artist who can not be pigeon holed. I enjoy painting in many styles in different media.

I love spending time recreating local scenes with watercolours en plein air. Often sitting on a stool at the side of a road or amongst the dunes to get the right view. My Ladradoodle, Freddie often appears in these pieces. I also paint in acrylics, inks and oils. I have a deep love of the Jurassic coast and the local rivers, and am often out in my boat during the summer catching fish. I care about the work protecting our seahorses in Poole Harbour. I have painted abstract seahorses, fish and serene waterscapes inspired by my time on the water. I also enjoy life drawings and portraiture.

I belong to the Wareham Art Club. I learnt my artistry from my father, who is also an artist. I find the creative process relaxing and a great way to de-stress.”
