Artist’s Statement:

I search the highways and byways looking for suitable subjects at a suitable stage of development. Often, indeed, I don’t need to go further than outside my front door. When I have the image I meticulously simplify it to bring out the essentials, adding to or subtracting from the initial image. Often I discover on the way other elements that I had not been aware of initially that I can either include or eliminate. It’s like drawing in reverse!
