Artist’s Statement:

“I am a Wildlife Artist, specializing in Birds of the World. Swanage born and bred. Always been interested in the countryside and painted from a very early age. Aviculture has been my hobby since the age of 8 and given me the opportunity to study birds closely and I receive many invitations to visit private collections. My paintings are finely detailed in Watercolour/Gouache but I also work in Acrylic, Oils and Pencil. My artwork has been used for book illustrations, calendars and donated to various charities for fundraising.
I am a Member of the Dorset Coppice Group and again enjoy being inspired for my artwork by woodland surroundings. In particular, I have a great passion for Laid Hedges and have completed several paintings depicting this section of the countryside. I also make the odd Walking Stick, rustic style of course!
I exhibit my work each year at Purbeck Art Weeks, and every 2nd year at Dorset Art Weeks. I am a Member of The Wildlife Art Society International and exhibit my artwork at their Annual Exhibition which is held at Nature in Art, Twigworth, Gloucester. I have regulary exhibited at the British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland Water.”
