Artist’s Statement:

The Purbeck Artisan Yard has over 25 artists, makers, crafters and upcyclers all working together to fill this beautiful space with creative talent. From paintings, prints and cards, to jewellery, woodwork, textiles and furniture there are so many beautiful unique creations all under one roof. The yard was started by Becky and James Warren who run the fantastic Salt Pig and they wanted to create a space where local artisans could come together, this space has now been open since April 2016 and has become a real creative hub in the heart of Wareham. Each time you visit the yard you’ll have the opportunity to meet one of the resident artisans and there is always something new to see. Spread over 2 floors it’s the perfect place to find something that little bit different.
