As a child Jane holidayed in Purbeck, so it was a dream come true when she came to live here nearly 10 years ago. Inspired by a feral childhood on Exmoor, surrounded by nature, Jane combines her love of plants with the magic of cyanotype. This early form of photography and the term from which ‘blueprint’ is derived is a simple and yet captivating process which lends it’s self to capturing the intricacies of plant structures and foraged finds. Jane works with paper and fabric and her workshops are suitable for beginners, families and children. “I like to create an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the beautiful Purbeck countryside and create a unique piece of art to take home and enjoy”. “The experimental and transformative nature of the sun print process has all sorts of metaphors for modern day life”.
