Helen works from her studio 5 at Hartland Stud, Wareham and spends her day oil painting and screen printing. Drawing inspiration from the natural environment she experiments with abstract and still life themes.

Helen runs workshops for children & teens in graffiti & spray painting, screen printing, rust printing and natural dying and 3d wire sculpture.

Having gained industry experience as Creative Director for Harpercollins Publishers and Illustration agent she now offers consultation for Young Adult’s who wish to follow a creative career in graphic design, publishing, advertising, branding, illustration and fine art. Helen shares her creative skills in graphic design & art and offers portfolio reviews.

Helen’s natural dying and rust printing workshops for adults share her skills and experience gained when living in Australia and Vientiane, Laos where she learned from master dyers at the Houey Hong Vocational Training Centre. These workshops integrate the rust and natural dying processes with shaborri folding techniques to make unique patterns and textures and a fine array of striking colours.

Helen holds a Master’s degree in Art from the UNSW College of Fine Art (COFA), Sydney, Australia, majoring in painting. Helen regularly exhibits and has been involved in two international artist residencies.
