Glenn was at an early age inspired to paint by his Father, himself an accomplished artist. Encouraged and guided by him, Glenn began painting and at the age of 12 won a prestigious Under 18 Art Competition in the London Borough where he lived, with his oil study of a Vase of Irises.

At senior school he studied A level Art with the intention of going to Art College but circumstances led him to study and practice law, enjoying painting as a pastime.

When Glenn retired, he and his family established a home on their much-loved Isle of Purbeck, where they had spent numerous holidays, considering it to be their spiritual home. Here he could follow his dream of studying Art and enjoy the freedom of expression in its creation.

Glenn uses a variety of media but primarily watercolour and acrylics. The subject matter is varied but most often landscapes in and around Dorset, appreciating their beauty and variety.

Glenn’s style of painting is one of realism whilst at the same time capturing the heart and soul of the artist. He delights in recreating the beautiful landscapes that he loves and instilling memories for himself and the viewer.
