Caroline was a school teacher for many years before setting up ‘Kezmee Studio’ her artisan design workshop; becoming ‘hooked on glass’ 20 years ago, after making a Tiffany-style suncatcher, with her young daughter.
‘I’ve always loved the splendour of stained glass,’ says Caroline, ‘fascinated, from childhood by the play of light through the colours, be it the beauty of the glass itself or the shadows that they reflect onto the floor.’
Dorset’s beautiful countryside and stunning coastline inspires a passion for her work. Each piece is uniquely crafted by loving hands. She designs and creates eye-catching suncatchers, using traditional techniques, functional platters/bowls/clocks made from recycled-bottles, distinctive fused-glass pictures, pendants, home-accents, and large kitchen/bathroom splashbacks; receiving a great deal of satisfaction from customer feedback or class attendees.
‘I love the idea that I have created, or helped someone create something of beauty that is being worn, used or is decorating their home’, says Caroline.
Her work is available at; The Purbeck Artisan Yard, Shop Makers Dorset, her new boutique/workshop at The Old Blacksmiths Creech, and a variety of fairs and festivals throughout the year.
Please contact for details if you’d like to own a piece of unique glass-art or for classes.
