Artist’s Statement:

I discovered working with glass as a hobby 10 years ago, and am largely self taught. I found glass to be surprisingly versatile to work with, and I enjoy, exploring new techniques for working with glass sheet, glass and mineral powders. My work is largely inspired by the Purbeck coast seen whilst walking or diving, but I also like making more abstract pieces. Lighting has a great impact on glass art – some of my tansparent peices have bubbles in that sparkly when backlit when on a wndow shelf or with a T-light behind it. Other pieces work best when lit from the front.
